Every time I hear those three magic words, “at your service” I’m thinking…for real? I really have my own butler to cater to my every need and spoil me rotten? This is too cool! I’ve experience several “traditional” butlers staying in fabulous suites at the Halekulani in Hawaii and at the One & Only in Palmilla, Mexico, where they are dedicated to just you and practically have what you need even before you know you need it. At first it was hard to get use to someone doing so much for me but I’ll be honest after a while it felt pretty good not to have to worry about unpacking, ironing my clothes, etc. I knew I was a fan when these butlers learned my favorite drink and always had a cocktail and my favorite snacks waiting for me around happy hour. Happy indeed!

Taking a long, leisurely bath already feels so decadent so having a bath butler draw the bath for you is pure heaven. Many of the resorts offering this option also have menus of what kind of bath experience you’d like so you can choose everything from the scent of your bath oil to what kind of candles you’d like and even if you prefer champagne or wine to toast your experience with.  I found some of the best resort bath butlers at:

If you’re lounging around on the beach having a “Beach Butler” come by with icy cold towels, refreshing drinks and even tasty treats is a huge bonus! You’ll usually find the same service at the pool.  Some of my favorite beach butlers are at:

TANNING BUTLER

Okay, now you have no excuse about getting sunburned. At the Ritz-Carlton in South Beach the “Tanning Butler” will make sure you’re covered.

 MUSIC BUTLER

This was a first! We all know how frustrating it can be when you’re traveling to find a decent music selection in your room but now the ultra chic SKYLOFTS at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas has a music butler on-call 24/7. This hip butler will even load your iPod for you with all your favorites from the hotels extensive collection. Very cool!

 SORBET BUTLER

Okay, this is one “sweet” butler service! At Jumby Bay in the Caribbean now  in addition to the normal Beach Butler theme and the resort has added it own Sorbet Butler who strolls up and down the beach offering guests homemade sorbet with waffle cones to go along with it. Also, in the afternoon you can find yummy coconut cookies at the beach bar, something your beach butler can get for you if you don’t feel like giving up your lounge mode!
