With degrees in Communications and Sociology, Schaler has traveled to more than 30 countries and has written more than 500 nationally and internationally published travel articles, including seven national magazine cover stories. Schaler’s work appears on television, in national newspapers, magazines and online.
Some of her publishing credits include: THE NEW YORKER, THE BOSTON GLOBE, THE NEW YORK TIMES, TOWN AND COUNTRY TRAVEL, ELITE TRAVELER, ISLANDS, US AIRWAYS, AMERICA WEST, HEMISPHERES and the list goes on. Growing up outside of Seattle, Washington, Schaler has lived in ten different states and currently is based in NYC. Constantly globetrotting around the world, Schaler says her home now, “is wherever I put my suitcase.”
