Okay, this photograph at the One&Only Palmilla pool shows how I felt after a recent tequila tasting in Mexico. Talk about your TRAVEL THERAPY. You just want to kick back and relax with the knowledge you now know how to pick a top-shelf tequila and can venture far away from the “popular” brands that are often overrated and over priced. Perhaps the most important thing to remember is if you’re going to drink any brand of tequila is make sure you’re drinking 100% blue agave, non negotiable, even in margaritas or else it can get ugly really fast! Here’s why… Continue reading

I’ve bellied up to the bar in search for the perfect margarita for quite some time, call if my own TRAVEL THERAPY.  My quest started after my grandparents, who lived part of the year in Alamos, Mexico, would serve up the most magnificent margarita. My grandfather had a secret recipe and after he passed away my grandma tried to show us how to make them but they’ve never turned out the same. My uncle and I tried using Cointreau and the Mexican verison Controy but nada…Maybe it was the… Continue reading

It doesn’t get much better than kicking back at a resort spa like this and feasting on some tasty cuisine and I’m not talking about the usual “rabbit food” (uninspired “healthy” salads) that you usually find at the spa.

Celebrity Chef Charlie Trotter has just created a new spa menu where his special cuisine is not only healthy and low-calorie but amazingly tasty! Honest! You’re also full when you’re finished and there’s dessert… I just tried some of his delicious dishes at the spa at the One&Only Palmilla resort in Mexico ( picture above)…so give it a whirl…it’s a simple TRAVEL THERAPY …just follow these easy directions… Continue reading

If you’re craving some serious award-inning gourmet food and figure Mexico is about the last place you’d find it…think again. You can now travel to Los Cabos for amazing beaches, fantastic resort golf, fishing AND great food.

Celebrity Chef Charlie Trotter is creating quite a following at his innovative “C” restaurant at the One&Only Palmilla resort in Cabo. This restaurant might be next to be the beach but when you walk in you feel like you’re in a world away from the traditional Mexican fish tacos and enchiladas. The top-rated wine list alone will make you feel like you’re dining in New York City. It’s a tasty TRAVEL THERAPY you don’t want to miss! This restaurant is truly special because…. Continue reading

Okay, so I’m VERY lucky. I’ve traveled to more than 24 countries and numerous exotic islands but my trip to Jumby Bay is the first time I’ve ever stayed on a private island, in a private estate home, with a private chef.

Was I dreaming? I kept thinking someone was going to wake me up but it just kept getting better and better…and YES, those are my feet in the picture!

Talk about TRAVEL THERAPY this is truly the place you want to go if you’re looking for a romantic escape or searching for a way to revitalize. By staying in a private estate you feel like it’s your “home away from home” and in my case this home is a HUGE  upgrade! The 8 thousand square foot estate I would call “home”, Eagles Landing, rents for up to $17,500 a night. I’m not kidding, that’s the price for one night. I was dying to feel how the other half lives, okay maybe the other 1%, but still I felt like Alice in Wonderland stepping through the Looking Glass when I walked in the front door. It’s hard to believe… Continue reading
